Extruder Control Algorithm
The Extruder Control Firmware uses a control algorithm
that has been optimized for controlling temperature loops
in plastic extruder equipment. Typically, overshoot is un-
desirable and ambient cooling is not sufficient to dampen
the effects of self heating that are inherent in the extrusion
process. This control method uses both heat and cool out-
puts. Under some conditions both heat and cool outputs
may be on at the same time.
